UK_Soldier Verified Member
Sigh. I've had my fill of weak d-zone play for the season and it's game 10.
Citizen Strife Verified Member
Mermis has some slick moves. Kinda hope he sticks up here, cause they could certainly use actual defense.

UK_Soldier Verified Member
The forwards certainly didn't help, but Mermis/Middleton got burned for another one.

M_Nels Verified Member
Mids got straight up out muscled in front. Not a good 1st period so far. This PP could get them right back in. Edited November 3, 2023 by M_Nels

He's supposed to be the physical one and he's certainly not showing it. 1
Protec Verified Member
Boldy could've at least taken a golf swing at the first guy who scored...
UK_Soldier Verified Member
Garbage period in the d-zone boys. Rossi continues to look like the Wild's best offensive player, which is good and bad.
Adamada Verified Member
Well that could have gone better, still plenty of hockey though.
Protec Verified Member
Maybe the Wild players will eventually feel bad enough and get sufficiently embarrassed enough to start playing good hockey. I've given them a lot more credit so far this season than they deserve.
Citizen Strife Verified Member
The sad thing is, there is definitely good play to be had, but the people who are suppose to lead the charge aren't the ones doing it. Kaprizov and Zuccarello look like deer in headlights, and Ek, Rossi, Foligno, and Maroon are all playing more consistent by doing simple things.
M_Nels Verified Member
Well if there’s any silver lining after being down 0-2 is that the 1st line looked slightly better. KK97 still turning some pucks over. First part of the PP looked pretty good too. Rough period for Mids, both goals had his fingerprints on them and not in a good way. Wild gotta get the next one, be damn near impossible to come back 0-3 to this team.

Protec Verified Member
Wonder if they were working on the PP in the last couple days or if it was all about the costumes and PR hype.
UK_Soldier Verified Member
Just now, Protec said: Wonder if they were working on the PP in the last couple days or if it was all about the costumes and PR hype. Supposedly had some long practices on the break. I just still don't understand the load management/no practice thing. Special teams and face off practice can be pretty fricking low tempo and not over exert anyone. I'm just glad the NHL hasn't gone fully NBA on this shit. Glad I don't like basketball, because what they're doing is downright embarrassing.
