I wouldn't blame you if you didn't know the NHL Awards happened on Monday night, because I didn't either until about two hours before the show started. For the Minnesota Wild, no player walked away with a trophy but there was some representation buried in the depth of the total voting.
Kirill Kaprizov was 17th in Hart Trophy voting; Jared Spurgeon finished 13th in Norris Trophy voting and 11th in Lady Byng voting; Marc-Andre Fleury finished 20th in Lady Byng voting; Joel Eriksson Ek placed ninth in Selke Trophy voting; Matt Boldy finished tied for 34th in Selke voting as well because of one fifth-place vote; and finally, Dean Evason finished tied for eighth in Jack Adams voting. Hope you enjoyed that long list of some minor representation!
That's Wild

Off the trail...
- The Boston Bruins sent Taylor Hall and the UFA rights of Nick Foligno to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a couple nothing players. Another team in cap trouble gets rescued and clears a load of space to re-sign a player and improve their team. Hall is nothing to sneeze at though, and could certainly revive his career playing next to Connor Bedard next season. [ESPN]
