Pewterschmidt Verified Member
This game might be barometer for Dean’s career here. After a lackluster loss to an ordinary Sabres team, the Wild need to come out swinging against a solid stars team. If they come out flat tonight that’s not good for Deano

Yes the Stars are the top team in the division, but the Wild need to play a full 60-min. This game will set the tone for their upcoming games in Sweden. Taking a full period off, and only registering 2 shots is not a recipe for success, nor does it scream "grit." Hoping they're able to capitalize on the home rink energy — LGW! Sviginak Verified Member
Spurge, there you were three feet from Pavelski. That called for a physical hit instead of a weak missed attempt at a stick lift.
Protec Verified Member
PK giving em up to even the worst PPs in the Central although that's somewhat of a surprise because Dallas should not be @10%. Considering EDM canned their coach, Dean has to be paying attention.

Protec Verified Member
Come on Wild wake the eff up and start being a good team. Almost nothing has changed since last season except Dumba out, Maroon in. Dumba appears to have been a much more important guy to the Wild. That was rough to watch. What was worse is how everyone on the Wild just watched the puck slowly slide out to the neutral zone and the Dallas player collect it. Johansson even looked towards the player and turned and looked the other way without changing direction until about 3 seconds later.

Spurge should have closed on him when the shot from the point was taken. He is not alone, most in close goals against the Wild are by players that don’t get hit after rebounds. Protec Verified Member
Hahaha. Now the PP has found a way to be even worse allowing goals. Just decline the eff'n penalties.

I don't know about that, Pavelski basically just had one step backwards to Fleury and Spurgeon had to close a larger distance. For me the bigger issue is that Spurgeon (and Brodin) allowed Pavelski that close in on Fleury in the first place. Checking Pavelski probably isn't going to work as Spurgeon or Brodin without momentum, as Spurgeon is far smaller and Brodin is somehow worse at checking than Spurgeon.
