That's Wild
- Matt Boldy led the Wild to a strong 4-2 win over the Washington Capitals, who just happen to be the frontrunners to win the President's Trophy at the end of the season. While the Caps largely outplayed the Wild, it's the goals that matter and that is how the Wild earned two very important points. [NHL.com]
- in a wonderful act of respect, Alex Ovechkin urged all of his Capitals teammates to come back out on the ice (or not leave the ice) to go and shake hands with Marc-Andre Fleury after the game. Those two had their fair share of brutal battles over the years and it's great to see as the Wild netminder heads off to retirement soon. [NHL.com]

Off the trail...
- Six big theories as to why power plays and penalties are way down this NHL season. [ESPN]
- Sidney Crosby is one of the best players to ever play the sport of hockey. He broke Wayne Gretzky's record with his 20th point-per-game season. Nuts. [TheScore]
- Someone big is questioning how the Edmonton Oilers built this team. And they have a point. [Edmonton Journal]
