I don’t read a lot about the Xcel on the Wild Message boards, but did any other Minnesota Wild fan seem to think that the amount of recorded music blasting through the "X" during the play stoppage on Wednesday was excessive? Maybe I am getting old, but I would like to hear the familiar hockey organ tunes once in awhile. I don’t mind a short and sweet version of "Welcome to the Jungle" or "Taking Care of Business", but did I really hear the "Macarena?" Who’s Ipod is this anyway? And where was the bum, bum, bum, bum... bum, bum, bum, bum... SCORE! organ music that hockey fans, particularly Minnesota hockey fans have come to love?! I hope the staff over at the Xcel Energy Center hasn’t gotten too trendy for their own good – us Minnesota Hockey fans crave old fashioned Minnesota hockey traditions – Don’t forget the organ!
