It took 6 games, but your Minnesota Wild have finally earned their 2nd victory of the season. PHEW! Now that we’re back on track towards glory, we can all finally relax, right?
It wasn’t a pretty win, as the Wild let another lead (albeit, a 1 goal lead) fall away before they started chasing the Calgary Flames last night. But the team managed to rally on the backs of a Ryan Suter goal followed by a Jared Spurgeon goal to give the Wild the lead for good late in last nights contest.
This game would have been over in the first period if not for the stellar play of backup netminder Alex Stalock. Easily last night’s first star in my opinion, just for his 1st period performance alone where he stopped all 18 shots he faced, with 10 of those shots coming during the Flames 3 power plays of the period. Next up for the Wild, we start a 6-game home stand on Tuesday, facing off against the Vancouver Canucks.
I may have promised a new Beck song a week or so ago, so here we are, off of his new album Colors, here’s a fancy little video for the song Up All Night.
