    One down, one to go.

Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin announced Tuesday morning that restricted free agent defenseman Louie Belpedio, one of the Wild’s two remaining unsigned RFAs, has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000 (or $100,000 if he spends the season in the AHL).

The Wild selected Belpedio in the third round (No. 80 overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Belpedio, 23, has spent the majority of his professional career playing for the Iowa Wild in the AHL. Last season, Belpedio collected six goals and 21 points in 70 games for Iowa during the regular season. He also played a key role for Iowa in the postseason, scoring one goal and three points in 11 playoff games.

Prior to making the full-time leap to the AHL in 2018-19, Belpedio served as captain at Miami University (Ohio) for two years. In 2017-18, he collected 30 points in 37 games for the RedHawks.

With Belpedio now under contract, Kevin Fiala, who Minnesota acquired from the Nashville Predators in exchange for Mikael Granlund in February, remains the team’s only unsigned RFA. Fiala netted three goals and a total of seven points in his 19 appearances with the Wild last season.
