With the Wild not making any moves prior to the roster freeze and trade moratorium, Minnesota sent this list into Central Registry at 4 PM CT Saturday. The Wild used the 7-3-1 format which allows them to protect 7 forwards, 3 defensemen, and 1 goalie. So without further delay here is the protection list for the Minnesota Wild.
Forwards:
Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu, Jason Pominville, Mikael Granlund, Nino Niederreiter, Charlie Coyle, Jason Zucker
Defensemen:
Ryan Suter, Jared Spurgeon, Jonas Brodin
Goaltender:
Devan Dubnyk
