Buh that was painful to watch...Coach watch is definitely on. 5-10-4 is pretty dreadful. We have a knack for somehow making every backup goalie look like a combination of prime Brodeur, Roy and Hasek.

One positive are the prospects and the potential future. Guerin please don't start trading the chips that we have.

The positives are the wild have raised there level of compete an attention to detail compared to start of season . DE has finally held Fred accountable with role on 4 th line wing
The negatives would be IMO. Individually the players aren’t as good as thought and collectively don’t work well together. Also making them all comfortable with contracts didn’t seem to work. I still think DE is also to blame with  X’s and O’s..  Hoe do they fix ? Idk.
Next year will be better.  Oh yeah ,  it’s same team next year and year after that and the year  after that and the year after that etc. Thanks Bill !

Detroit is sneaky good and trending in the right direction, buuuuuuutttt this was another gutless performance by the boys.  Beginning to think Deano doesn’t make it to February anymore.  This might take more than firing a goalie coach/marketing intern/skate sharpener to get this groups attention.  Locking up those bottom 6’ers and enabling the apathy (opposite of urgency) is looking like a serious unforced error Billy

Also, does "grit" mean more penalties? If so, that plus having the league worst PK% may not be the best combination for success. Yes, Detroit also had 7 penalties tonight, but we have the third highest PIM per game in the league right now: Arizona and Anaheim both average 14 PIM/G, and Minnesota is next averaging 12 PIM/G.

Zucc has no grit and that last detroit goal sort of developed because Zucc couldnt fight through a check lost the puck  .

Wings are one of the youngest teams in the league and the Wild one of the oldest. The Wild are burning the candle at both ends working Brodin and Kaprizov like a couple rented mules. Those guys are going to be gassed in another month. But that's what desperate teams do, ride the mules.

BG is trying to stack this roster with a bunch on minne me's of him. He does not realize every NHL player was not created in his image.

In my earlier comment I wasn’t implying that there compete level or attention to detail was acceptable. It was just better than the Dallas game and others before . That’s not saying much. I just criticize so much that I wanted to try start with something nice. Basically they played better than terrible! There’s your positivity mn wild! Thanks again bill for all you do or don’t do

Someone doesn't (or at least, sure shouldn't) make it past New Year's Day unless things change drastically.  Question is,

    - Does Deano's lack of answers when things get tough (see the 2023-24 regular season to date, and every playoff series he's ever coached) finally catch up with him?

    - Or, does OCL finally realize just how limited this team is with the number of replacement-level (or worse) veterans that GMBG has signed for multiple years, and he sends Billy packing?

Modano for gm. He’s already in house.haha.
I cant  believe Hartman and how stupid he is to sleuth foot Debrincat . Who couldn’t protect himself and hit head on ice. That sh_t doesn’t fly in today’s nhl. Now he has hearing an will get suspended.  Do they even have the salary cap room to call up anyone? Great planning Bill . I guess Yelling at refs ala moose and sleuth footing unsuspecting players is really the type of leadership you give no moves clauses to ? Huh Bill

Bills style reminds me of Mike tice and Vikings. He would say we are so good we don’t care if other teams know what we’re doing.. we have Randy moss. Didn’t work so well. Or Mike ditka in New Orleans trading all his picks for Ricky Williams.
They all push there chips in middle for no reason.  But Imo for ego

Not sure what’s going on with the refereeing. Boldy has 2 penalties you see all game long in the NHL.  Then you have obvious penalties and no call. Frustrating to watch as it impacts the game. No question the Wild take too many penalties but I almost feel that plays into the refs minds as they call the game. I watch the abuse Ek takes all game long and he rarely gets the call. Boldy applies pressure and he’s called.
