Protec Verified Member
We've heard the arguments for Brock Nelson. Who are some other players who would be worth a shot? I like the idea of targeting Sean Monahan. 5.5M. Has had some good seasons recently. Could Dean want Fred in in CBJ??? Could Chisholm be another guy they'd want? Provorov is gonna be a UFA so would they want a center and defenseman in exchange for Monahan? Maybe throw in a future pick or could Rossi be the ask for Monahan??? They have nearly identical numbers last season and Monahan played in the West before successfully. Ryan Poehling is another player who has some size and skill who is faster than Fred. Perhaps if Fred was moved or if the Flyers could use Chisholm that could work. Philly has Ellis on LTIR so would they want Rossi and could they send back a pick with Poehling. Changes there are underway. The Lakeville kid is less expensive than Fred and younger, signed through 26-27, I think. Could Peyton Krebs or Ryan McLeod from Buffalo be worth targeting or could MN go big and try to make a trade for Tage Thompson? Real question is what are the Sabres doing? What would they want??? For me, McLeod is the most interesting guy there cause he had a breakout season and was very good for EDM when they lost to Florida in the Cup finals. They're gonna be forced to extend some players and he's probably the one they wanna keep. Plus-13 and nearly 60pts. The Sabres just continue to suck though and are always looking for answers. Just some initial thoughts cause there's a chance teams all squabble over Bennett, Nelson, and UFAs who likely wanna cash-in. Any ideas? Sam Verified Member
How about an AHL defenseman? Or that Utah Hockey Cl.. I mean Mammoth player? But seriously, that Sean Monahan looks good.
RedLake Verified Member
Trevor Lahey, Corey Merril, or even Bo Horvat. Even Sam Lasko at this moment in Mild history.
Citizen Strife Verified Member
I hear that Rossi guy is decent and young. They should see if keeping him is a good idea. Seriously, Bennett FA or a Larkin trade.

Who are these players you listed off Red? I just googled the three I’ve never heard of and I don’t see any info on them. C’mon man..

To me he could be a major piece that could replace Mats when he retires. From a few articles I've seen he has fallen out of favor with the Utah front office.
