Why isn't Jiricek the 6th Dman???????

Really sick in tired of Merril and Boogisan flipping pucks up the boards with blinders on. No offensive talent to speak of, slow and sluggish consistently. Jiricek was laying people out and creating offense in his stint up with the big club. I don't get it! Gave up a first play him Billy!!!

It's because Cross-Eyed Bill has PTSD from being cast away at the end of his career. 

He won't disrupt NoJo or Merrill cause he was so butthurt himself when a GM saw he was too old and slow. 

NoJo has been a little more productive in the last couple weeks but he is still brutal for compete-level and tenacity. Classic Euro.

Merrill has always been the exact same player prone to costly mistakes. The other night against VAN, he just shovels it towards the point and the D-Man hits Sherwood with the backdoor-pass. Game over and demoralizing loss. NoJo did the same this year for a loss to Seattle. 

I will say in a big game, Merrill or a rookie aren't playing late anyway. Top 4 or Bogo. He's more responsible in my opinion and gets screwed with lesser partners. I'd give him another 1-year personality. Jiricek is on deck, same as Wallstedt so those guys should be working and mentally preparing. Hopefully GMBG is gonna stick with the plan and let guys go. Not many Fleury or Matt Cullen type guys out there. Merrill and NoJo need to go most.

For every seemingly good decision this front office makes, they make another equally head scratching one. I was wondering the same thing yesterday watching Merril struggle to hockey. If we gave up Khus for size, then why isn't Jiricek in the ice? If you aren't going to play him, why isn't he getting valuable ice time down in Iowa?
