I just posted this elsewhere, but if Evasion gets skittish and breaks up Rossi or Boldy, that is on him.  Give them time.  Hartman and Zuccarello have done all they can, but Kaprizov was lost until the switch was flipped last night.

Balanced lines are nice, but you know what's better?  Having top guys actually play and look like top guys.

Strongly agree. It's exciting that Evason may have a reason to stick with these combos. If I'm right, he seems to have a preference for lines that can do it all, and Eriksson Ek or even Rossi could help the top line win some more puck battles to get 97 more chances.

The happiness I felt when I saw the Kirill - Rossi - Boldy line is not able to be described in words. 

The Foligno - Hartman - Maroon line is also so sick. 

Dean is showing that he is able to be flexible and trust Rossi. 

Rossi optimism is through the roof.

Been watching on TwitterX (slow work day) for updates from Smith/Russo about todays practice.

Smith said Boldy-Rossi-KK97 are still together but they did swap Hartman & Ek. Don't hate it but kinda questioning it unless Dean thinks this could be the reincarnation GREEF with Ek's better defense over Hartman's.

Yeah, that third line could struggle in transition. Freddy Gaudreau has to slot in somewhere when he comes back, so we'll see.

If that 3rd line can be what Dean envisions it to be and the other 2 lines play well you'd think it be a no brainer just to plug him in for Lettieri on the 4th. Would hate to see another shakeup and mess with building chemistry once Freddy comes back just because he's Dean's golden boy and he was top 9 before he got hurt.

Zuccarello and Johansson are gonna have the same defensive issues the top line was having. Not sure whether Evason will put JEE back with them or use Gaudreau with them, nor am I certain whether they'll try putting Maroon back with Dewar and Duhaime if everyone gets healthy.

Could be a while before Evason gets comfortable with set lineups this year.

Let's hold up on the accolades until we see the next couple games. DE has never come across to me as someone who is flexible. We can hope but right now that is all we can do.

It's a deep forward group, so there'll likely be a lot of line shuffling. Maroon has earned a spot ahead of Gaudreau this year by my eyes, so perhaps Freddy G will become Dewey3 when he comes back. 

For what it's worth, Eriksson Ek was playing with Zuccarello and Johansson at practice today.

I liked the new lines. But, Dean's got to go with the 2 days off and 1 hour practice. That was valuable time to fix things that just went wasted. I could see the next day off, but after that they needed to work hard. I don't like the work on the ice, I don't like the effort, and I specifically don't like the work in practice. 

This team needs to work harder.

DE either lost the room or has country club leadership within the team.  They are lazy. Even Wes walz implied that in the athletic . He said we’re not blocking shots . Like league low. We’re not boxing out or tying up sticks , we’re screening the goalie because we’re not moving guys out of crease and the lack of attention to detail. Walzs thoughts an I agree. In same article it talked about the 2 days off an a one hour practice . Rewarding laziness? Or they can fix special teams at home by themselves?  Then I read in comments that Billy is ok with coaches getting days off.  How about win some games and figure your stuff out before going on vacation. IMO that’s not winning culture. I’d be curious what joe smith honestly thinks of our organization versus Tampa in the way we go about things. Billy is obviously ok with the days of stuff. I kinda think  Cooper in Tampa would get to work on special teams versus days off . They seem to have a commitment to excellence. We’re like go home an commit to excellence because our players have proven nothing unlike Tampa. 
    Billy believe what I say not what you see G. Spends 3 years here and tells life long fans what they saw last year was a success. Because of the buyouts. Buyouts don’t mean anything when you’re behind in the standings to teams spending a lot less than you or have dead contracts just like us . Arizona Anaheim. They better get past those teams or his excuse is worthless. It might not be that easy when we are always one hit away from disaster.

    Wow. Just read sports illustrated article about DE saying team needs to work hard. Zucc disagreed with him saying. They work hard all the time. It’s the hardest working team he’s ever been on. What?? Sounds like drama in locker room.

I think DE has lost this team ...I mean we need a coach with a little more fire .. he's not a household name ...we get to playoffs and the Wild are one and done ...the players are playing but DE just can't seem to get them excited to play for him ..I think we need a new coach....look at VGN an expansion team has the right formula to get to the Finals? .....the Wild have been in play since 2001.... Western Conference finals once ..no SC final....DE needs to get his walking papers ..justy opinion...Go Wild!!!!🏒🥅
