I'm sure that "Greatest Culture" banner will look fantastic next to our lone division title banner there Billy.

Yah he needs to stop preaching his culture PR program and start subtly apologizing to fans for the product.  Privately he needs to pray that his scouting team can uncover 2-3 more kaprizovs in Siberia.
now let’sgo back to talking about how our farm team is full of can’t miss top six prospects

So, due to being shot up with cortisone shots yesterday to relieve inflammation, (getting old has some suckiness sides) I laid awake thinking about the PK. If we continue with the 11-7 format, I was thinking this:

PK 1 goes with a diamond look with Ek up top and Middleton-Brodin-Faber as the bottom 3. Probably Middleton in the middle (ha), and Brodin and Faber on the sides. 2nd group comes out and it is Dewar and Duhaime forming the top of a box, and Hunt and Merrill down low. The 1st unit takes out most of the energy of the main opponent PP unit, and the 2nd unit either catches them at the end of their shift, or gets the 2nd PP unit.

Ok guys, it was about 4:30 am while this went through my mind. Shoot holes in the proposal.

It would look decent next to the retired number 1 up there.

finally, something i can get behind.

Where do we start, Goalies?

Gus and Flower stink, and should be put on waivers with the hopes of being claimed.  Even if they're not claimed, we can bury the salary in the AHL.  I know Flower has a NMC, but he seems likely to waive that.  It's time for the WALL, who's probably better than if we were able to play both Gus and Flower in the same net.  Wall's got a 2.78 gaa in the AHL which should translate to a roughly 0.78 gaa in the NHL.

Now that we've only got to get 1 goal a game to win, lets re-vamp the forwards.  Kaprizov - hit waivers buddy, it's Firstov time, russian in russian out, same production.  Then, get rid of old man Zuccarello for some Nick Swaney, half the age means twice the goals.  Don't even get me started on Hartsy, because he's heading to waiversy...we got Hunter Haightsy.  Hartsy for Haightsy, no way this plan can miss.

I could go on about our D, but I just fixed the Goalies and top line.  Even with just those changes, I'm worried about the coast guard doing a life jacket check for how many 'ships we're bringing to the state of hockey!!!

We might have one of them in Yurov. I'm not sure what Dino can do.

I'm still believing in Beckman. I thought he made some growth strides last season. However, he still didn't pay enough attention to getting stronger and bulking up. You can compete as a string bean in the A, if that's all the farther you want to go, don't do it. In the N, you need strength and muscle just to survive.

Several of our prospects haven't played a game yet. I'd like to see the improvement of Milne, and what Bankier can do in a better league.

And, on to the prospects:

Heidt dropped below his 2 point/game pace with 22 in 12.

Firstov potted a couple of goals and is 7-6-13 in 24.

Something to keep a watch on: The Wall has a .903 sv %, McIntyre is at .855. This tells me that the influx of defenders starting their A career are struggling and The Wall can make up for some of it, but McIntyre cannot. It might be time to see what Jonesy can do in the 2nd goalie slot.

Speaking of our new D, not only are they having trouble defending, but they also aren't producing points either. Some of it is that they are too small and having to go up against men now. Boys, don't miss your gym days!

I am glad everyone enjoys it here.

Everyone enjoys it so much we had to overpay for a 21Pt player who was 13th in penalty mins in the league to the tune of 4M to stay so long he might require a walker by the end of it lol

What information/stats give you confidence in yurov but not Dino?  Or is it gut feeling?

I think Yurov will be an excellent pair for Kaprizov, I believe stylistically they are going to be similar.

Dino is a different kind of player, he will get things done differently. Is he the 3rd wheel to this line? Maybe. But Dino has speed to burn, just not much power, so that was what I was eluding to. Dino seems to me to be that pest that just keeps circling around you, driving you nuts.

I do think both will be impactful on this roster.

My best guess is those stats are 6-foot-1 and 5-foot-9

Well, Tony gets me! Actually, I was thinking from a stylistic point, but much of that has to do with the physical package. 6'1" and 5'9" aren't necessarily the main point, but 200 lbs. and 175 lbs. dripping wet with all the equipment on is more like it.

I hope we're all still here in 2027 to see it.
