Sammy walker and Beckman seem to be nhl ‘tweeners.  Not big enough/gritty enough/hockey iq enough to earn a top 6 spot or a bottom 6 spot. 
Be like Mike may lack flash, but he makes up for it with FU.  
prediction: Milne takes SHAWZY’s spot as fan favorite grinder in next couple years

Definitely this year is their year to show or go with the next wave of prospects to hit IA. Petrovsky, Heidt, Lorenz and Haight

Milne got lost on his first draft year and has been playing piss'd off ever since.  He had an impact in IA last year for his first. He and Lambos were teammates two years ago and play similar physical games.

Good looking group of prospects Top Ten and six more here and a couple more still in Iowa. I see Faber and The Wall are going to a Rookie NHL get together on September 5, can’t remember where, but 35 Young guns coming. 

And good job to all the writers and staff at the new and improved Wilderness site. You got us through the late summer doldrums with a plethora of really decent articles that just keep on coming. Keep ‘em coming, we are getting close to real hockey.

Walker has nice instincts. Beckman shoots the puck. Those are two guys who are physically ready to go. Neither guy has really had a long-look. Rossi either. It will be interesting to see what happens at training camp and in the preseason.

Ohgren at 163 sort of confirms what my eye test has shown to date.  Think low end Nino

Also interesting that stramel ranks above yurov.  Very interested to watch the badgers this year to monitor our future hulking center.  Let’s go Stram-ba-lambo

I think our hope for Ohgren is that he can develop into a player like Holmstrom, Hornqvuist, or Ninoriedder.

It might never reach that level. The eye test and numbers haven't been building the hype. Perhaps that's better? It will be interesting to see how his year goes in elite Sweden.

I wouldn't go to the bank on Pronman's opinion only, he's just one of many talking heads out there. 

He was the same guy who was skeptical of KK before he blew up as he was worried about his size, speed and skills combo and if he would ever be a 30/60 guy.  Also, graded the Wild down for taking Stramel?

Eye test reference what? When did you watch him, just curious. I've also been watching him and see him make everyone better around him.

There is one prospect here who doesn't get a lot of talk from fans or prospect gurus. Jack Peart, a 20 year old home grown MN kid who has seen two very good years at SCSU, as Luke noted, but also some action on the international stage at the World Juniors.

He's gonna take center stage for the Huskies this year on D and his offensive game and hockey IQ is gonna get another boost. He has been an informal leader on their D at a young age and this could be another step in the right direction for his hockey maturity.

The IA D core is gonna have a heavy focus on all the D this year. D-men prospects are piling up and someone may have to be moved as we need some room for the continued trek of D headed that way soon. Peart, Pionk, Healey in a year or two.

Peart is under 6'0 (5'11) and not quite 190 lbs., but is physical, solid, offensively gifted player who uses his skates to create space and entry options. He would be a nice addition to IA next year. There's gonna be a logjam at IA next year. It wouldn't hurt Peart to go back to SCSU and take on a leadership role as an assistant captain and get another year of experience. If this scenario played out it may be in the best interest of the Wild and give them some roster breathing room.

The alternative being, we move some of our D that we feel are not a good fit as draft capitol for the 1C or first line D.
