Protec Verified Member
Nice breakdown. The Wild have had a few years of Guerin but they had decades of goofs leading up to it. Let's hope this draft and trajectory for MN begins to go up again. Plateau territory right now it seems like.

Imyourhuckleberry Verified Member
Coyle, at age 24, just had his best season and the Wild likely thought he could be better as he entered his prime, but he's actually been worse. I guess the Wild "protected" Dumba twice when they didn't need to for expansion drafts. He's a solid player, but the Wild would likely have been better off with Tuch, Haula, and another defenseman who wasn't paid $6M per year. Not meant to disparage Dumba though. He ended up somewhat overpaid, but Dumba has been a solid veteran.
B1GKappa97 Verified Member
He absolutely did. That dummy. Tbf, Geurin was in on Eichel though so he could've made up for that error if he'd been willing to throw Rossi into the trade package. It probably means no Carson Lambos though (assuming the Wild still trade up for Wallstedt with that other pick from Pittsburgh.)
