I want to blame players for not finding an extra gear since they, aside from Fletcher, have been the common denominator. Then again, Fletcher acquired and signed these players, and half the teams in the NHL make the playoffs. After 9 years of good and bad, Fletcher has reached his shelf life, and it’s easier to let go of a GM than some players. Here’s hoping the new GM doesn’t have us longing for the Fletcher era!
