That's Wild
- Now for something completely Wild. Out of the blue, it was reported and made official that the Minnesota Wild and assistant general manager Chris O'Hearn have "mutually agreed to part ways." O'Hearn's role in the Wild's front office was primarily being the contract and CBA guy, and according to The Athletic, as recently as the team's trip to Seattle, he was crunching numbers to put Jonas Brodin on LTIR and make the cap work. Something happened, but nor the team or GM Bill Guerin will comment further on the matter. [The Athletic]
- In more positive news, it really appears that Matt Boldy is making the leap into being a very good two-way winger. [Hockey Wilderness]
- Through the first part of the season, Filip Gustavsson was a disappointment compared to his previous very, very good season last year. Thankfully, he has gotten back on track and looks to be performing like his usual self. [Pioneer Press]
