The Minnesota Wild are just a handful of points out of a playoff spot, but unfortunately, right now they are just trying to survive injuries to multiple key players. Jared Spurgeon, Jonas Brodin, and most recently Mats Zuccarello has all recently been out of the lineup and without them, suddenly so many players get exposed.
Lately, it's been rookie Brock Faber having to play the same minutes as 2010 Duncan Keith, or 2011 Zdeno Chara. He has been on the ice for roughly half the game since Spurgeon and Brodin have been out, and that is just a little bit of a problem. So, should the Wild go out and acquire a player for cheap to have that not happen? Maybe just someone as an improvement on Jon Merrill and Alex Goligoski would do the trick. They already went out and got Zach Bogosian, but maybe they should take the step further.
