That's Wild
The Minnesota Wild are facing an injury crisis and now they have to deal with a hearty push for the playoffs without two of their best impact players. We have become familiar with what this team looks like without Kirill Kaprizov but now that Joel Eriksson Ek is out with an injury he further aggravated at practice the other day -- according to Michael Russo, it looks to be a six-to-eight week timeline for the Wild center -- this team has taken a massive hit.
A center depth of Marco Rossi, Frederick Gaudreau, Ryan Hartman, and Devin Shore isn't all that inspiring for a team wanting to push into having home-ice advantage in the first round. We'll let it play out, but with the Wild going on a small road trip that features a game against a hungry Utah team and the Colorado Avalanche, it might be hard to stomach.
