    That's Wild

    • We might be in for a lengthy back-and-forth. The Minnesota Wild and Marco Rossi are reportedly still far apart in contract talks, with both parties having wildly different approaches. Rossi seems to value himself highly and wants security, while the Wild still don't see him as a sure thing, or are trying to get a bargain contract out of this. [Yahoo Sports]
    • Justin Kipkie has now been drafted by two different NHL teams at just 19 years old, but the Wild's 2025 fifth-round pick seems to be a good bet to turn around quickly. The blueliner is heading to Arizona State this fall. [Hockey Wilderness]
    • Good teams don't trade their good young players. If the Wild were to deal Rossi away, it sure feels like something the Buffalo Sabres would do, and something the Florida Panthers would not. [Hockey Wilderness]

    Off the trail...

    • Everything we know so far about the NHL's and NHLPA's new CBA that is coming into action for the 2026-27 season. [ESPN]
    • After rumors of trades and offer sheets and everything else, Bowen Byram signs a two-year contract with the Sabres that will walk him right to unrestricted free agency. [NHL.com]
    • The top 10 free agents still available. [Sportsnet]
