    That's Wild

    • Well at least we know one member of the Minnesota Wild got to head into the summer having lifted a trophy. Prospect Hunter Haight of the OHL's Saginaw Spirit won the Memorial Cup last weekend with his team in their home arena, and talked about the joy of accomplishing a feat not many junior players get to do.[NHL.com]
    • Does the Minnesota Wild trying to sign Patrick Kane make any sense? Bringing in the old veteran who might still have some points to spare, to this Minnesota team? [The Hockey News]
    • One player that might slip to the Wild at the 2024 NHL Draft is defenseman Carter Yakemchuk. The big, mobile, and offensively charged blueliner might be just too perfect for the Wild to pass up.[Hockey Wilderness]

    Off the trail...

    • What are the secrets to success for the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers in the upcoming Stanley Cup Final? [ESPN]
    • Panthers GM Bill Zito has been slowly revamping his team over the four years he's been in charge, but this past offseason he focused on scoring depth and it might just pay off. [The Hockey News]
    • The Toronto Maple Leafs officially added former New York Islanders head coach Lane Lambert as an assistant coach on Craig Berube's bench. [NHL.com]
    • The Oilers were once the worst team in the NHL this past season, and now they find themselves in the Cup Final. A lot of responsibility can be put upon the guy they hired mid-season. [Sportsnet]

Heidt thinks he's got a shot at making the roster this training camp. I wonder if Haight does as well? Hitting the gym is a great way to make your case! If he can come in at 195ish, he could really surprise some people. Being and RHS which is an endangered species in this organization is a nice advantage for him. While he's listed as C/RW, I do not see him as a center on this team.
