Wild Forwards Ranked Among Best Fantasy Options

It looks like the Wild have 4 forwards ranked in the top 100, which isn't too bad. The average team should have about 3 forwards ranked in the top 100. That being said, I think Boldy is ranked way too low on their list (for reference Caulfield is ranked 51), but then again, I think Zuccarello is ranked too high, so it's a bit of a wash.

I'm hoping Rossi builds on his momentum from last year and cracks this list next year.

No idea how fantasy hockey works, but I've got to assume Zuccarello is way too high and probably shouldn't be in the top 100. These lists usually deal more with what a player has done instead of what a player is about to do. Therefore, I think I'd draft Rossi and let someone else have Zuccarello.

Tavares is a little late in handing over his C. He should have done so a few seasons ago when the Leafs couldn't get out of round 1 under his leadership. Of course, I haven't changed my mind on letters, every year they should be handed in when their season ends. Then, every October, the letters come back out. You can always have your letter reclaimed, but you really had to earn another shot.

For a long time, we had Koivu, Suter, Parise with letters. Notice how none of those players were from the young guys! Also notice how Koivu, Suter, Parise generally started out on the OT 1st line, and how many times did OT end before the 1st line was changed? Every year these things need to be turned in. If coaches want it the same, then divide them out the same way next season.

Edmonton is cap strapped right now and has to figure this out in 1 week! Pretty sneaky to go after 2 players too. They also offer short term contracts so they can adjust them later. Maybe the cost certainty approach Guerin has used is a pretty good method. Those guys were RFAs. We have a year to figure out Rossi's extension. My prediction is something around the time that Boldy's deal got done. (January)
