That's Wild
The Minnesota Wild started a very important road trip north of the border Wednesday night by visiting the Maple Leafs in Toronto. The Wild, who were 2-2-0 in their previous four games, have been just holding steady as they have suffered a dangerous injury bug. Well, and, uh, now Kirill Kaprizov is out for several weeks.
But still, thanks to the depth scoring of Marat Khusnutdinov and Marcus Foligno, and Jared Spurgeon throwing in a goal, the Wild coasted past the Leafs in a 3-1 win. Filip Gustavsson made 32 saves on the way to earning two points and the Wild continue to press fellow Stanley Cup contenders without their bona fide superstar in the lineup.
