That's Wild
- The Wild fell to one of the worst teams in the league on Sunday night, but it shouldn't be taken to heart. Minnesota dominated Chicago in almost every single category you can think of through the game but they just only managed to get the one single goal from Matt Boldy. And, Philipp Kurashev dealt the killing blow in overtime. A game where you just have to say "That's Hockey" and sometimes really bad teams win. [NHL.com]
- There's certainly no rule against the Wild having two superstars on their roster, and Matt Boldy has reached such a height that he should be in that tier. [The Athletic]
- Mikey Milne can follow the path some other younger Wild forwards have taken and be this team's newest piranha. [Hockey Wilderness]
Off the trail...
- For some reason, the Vancouver Canucks are the most active team in the NHL. Maybe it's them trying to solidify a decent start, building off of last season, and now with higher expectations things are happening. Or, things just keep on happening to them. Brock Boeser is out, they traded Daniel Sprong to return to Seattle, and the latest thing is them recalling top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki to the big team. [Sportsnet]
- Real or not? Early-season trends from all 32 teams and determining if this is the real them or just a bad (or good) start. [ESPN]
- More transactions! The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed decent defenseman Dante Fabbro off of waivers from the Nashville Predators. [Daily Faceoff]
