    That's Wild

    • The PWHL Minnesota team has officially been given a name. After going their first season and winning the inaugural Walter Cup, without a team name, they will officially be known as the Minnesota Frost.

    • An exclusive interview with a prospect who might really compete to get a spot on the NHL roster in the coming weeks: Riley Heidt. [NHL.com]
    • The next massive thing that is coming up for the Wild is Kirill Kaprizov's upcoming free agency. They must risk everything to keep him. [Hockey Wilderness]

    Off the trail...

    • Sidney Crosby is, right now, a free agent next summer. But the Penguins captain is confident that something will get done before it reaches that point. [NHL.com]
    • Free agent acquisition Jake DeBrusk is eager to start building chemistry with new Canucks teammate, Elias Pettersson. [Sportsnet]

Both my girlfriend and I watched a lot of the games the first year, but after the whole Darwitz / Klee / Coyne-Schofield bs this summer where Darwitz was forced out, it's really dampened the enthusiasm we had for the team.

Before all that, I was looking forward to next year.  Now I'm finding it hard to care.

I chuckled at Reusse's comment on ScorNorth today was the name should have been the Backstabbers.

Rasputin off to a hot start!

Would hope that the Wild could sneak Heidt on this team so that he and Kumpulainen could get some chemistry going.

    Thomas-

There have been so many new writer's names on the articles and we really don't know who these guys/gals are. Could we have an introduction of the writing staff and what their responsibilities are in writing?

We got used to Tony and the Justins for content. Tony looks like he's on vacation. It also looks like writing has expanded it's authors a lot. Might we get some more prospect coverage? AHL coverage?

What are HW's priorities and what's in store for '24-25? I'm sure I'm not the only Inquiring mind!

I second coverage beyond the Minnesota Wild itself.  Having a broader pool of writers is great, but it would be nice to incorporate broader coverage as well.  I've been meaning to go down to Iowa and catch a game at some point, but it would be nice to have more articles on the AHL as a team rather than just the occasional prospect deep dive.

I like the varied perspectives, but occasionally there is already some articles that seem to re-hash the same topics - maybe not in the same week, but there's times I feel like 1/3 of an article (or more) is something I've read before.  Having broader coverage can help lessen some of that.
