Is the Wild's Medical Team In More Hot Water?

I notice that it doesn't say he could be out for the postseason. Could this be a LTIR don't rush to come back scenario?

With and additional $9.5M in salary cap to work with, Florida could load up with another player like Boeser themselves, or any type of player they prefer.

They are in a different conference, so what they say or do about the Wild's medical staff is their own BS agenda.  Players are going to supercede doctors and their diagnoses anyway.  That's how pro athletes tend to roll.  Sure, Kap and others have been hurt, but that's on the Wild.  Other players choosing to value the 4-Nations was on them.

I am concerned about our medical staff, though. So, just to question, does anyone know if there was a significant change in the staff at the beginning of the seasons in 2023? Do we have the best medical staff that we can get? This would include injury prevention and post injury rehab. 

As for CS's point, a quick look at the standings indicates that FL is comfortably in a top 3 spot. Adding a star rental would be a nice way to enter the postseason.

Speaking of that, I'm hearing Kaprizov is again delayed. What are the chances around March 5th that the delay looks to be around April 1st? Remember when Patrick Kane practiced for a couple of weeks before being activated....what was it....just after the regular season. 

Now, of course, if we were to try such a thing, we'd probably be penalized with another 5 years of massive cap penalties because everyone else did it and they want to make an example out of someone. 

Sounds like Lauko will likely be returning for tomorrow's game. 

Now, if he is immediately injured again (barring any obvious unrelated injuries), I think we can go ahead and pickup those pitchforks.

I believe that Lauko's is a groin. Those are really tricky and may not heal fully until this summer. I played through one in beer league, and it was hard to stretch it out. It lasted all season too.

However, another indication of groin pain comes from stiff hips which I recently found out and have to deal with. I've heard the term "hip replacement surgery" which scares the heck out of me. Could this be related to a hip injury in Lauko? I think that should be investigated from the medical staff if it continues to linger. 

There's a reason why they say "practicing" medicine just like "practicing" law. Apparently, in those arenas, you never get to play the games, you're just practicing all the time. 😎

Ek just got put on IR and will miss significant time now too. 🥲

EK always gets hurt at crunch time it seems. Playoffs might be a pipe dream this year. Kap, Ek, and Hartman out. That's an entire top 6 wild line.

Considering the amount of reoccurring injuries this team seems to have, it's fair to say the Wilds medical staff isn't the best in the NHL. They have struggled for a while now. 

No Ek, Kirill, Hartman or Lauko.  This team will really need to define that term "Team" over the next few weeks to keep things moving forward.

Time to trade the Med team along with half the team. 

Sounds like this is a significant injury to Ek.  The Wild sure have had a tough run at the injury game.  At least our D is healthy.  Having Spurge, Brodin, Faber and Mid healthy should keep us competitive.
