Brock Faber Ranked Among Top Under-25 Defensemen in NHL

Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber has recently been heralded as one of the NHL's top young blueliners. He's top three and he isn't three. Okay, well he isn't one, either.

In a ranking of the top 10 defensemen in the NHL under the age of 25 on NHL.com, Faber has earned the second-place spot. Only Ottawa Senators blueliner Jake Sanderson is ahead of him, earning the title of the best young defenseman in the entire NHL.

Other defensemen who had better 2024-25 seasons than Faber's sophomore slump, such as Lane Hutson and Thomas Harley, were close behind but ultimately, just how darn good the Wild defenseman's rookie campaign was and still being able to munch away minutes last season, earned him the runner-up position. 

• Michigan State really had a solid portion of their roster turned over, highlighted with the departure of Ike Howard to the Edmonton Oilers after it was already announced that he would be returning to school. Well luckily for them, Minnesota Wild prospect Charlie Stramel should be able to fill that void and really take advantage of the Spartans needing someone to step up. [Hockey Wilderness]
