Media and fans all around the Wild were talking about how Zach Parise hadn’t scored his 300th goal yet and playing in his 6th game of the season without a goal was the longest he had gone in his career. That all changed 2 minutes into the second period on a great pass from Matt Dumba and a simple shot by Parise to beat Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss.
