  • Yelnats Cup Playoffs: Recap for 04-17-2011

Two games on the docket tonight:

    Both are on Game 3.

Wicked action again tonight, check it out!

New Jersey Devils @ New York Islanders

    1st period:

    2nd period:

Zajac has quietly been having quite a series so far. In fact, in the 6-2 drubbing of the Devils in game 1, Zajac finished with two assists and +2.

    3rd period:

The Isles weren't quite done clawing back into the game. Michael Haley scored a huge, hard working goal, assisted again by Wishart and Tavares at 11:01, which gave the home team life, but in the last 5 minutes, Rick Dipietro  fumbled the puck and Zajac made no mistake, destroying any chance of a comeback. Why Dipietro was still in net after all this, we'll never know. Devils won it 7-4

I don't think anyone in their right mind expected that 29 goals would be scored in the first 3 games of this series. Insanity. These two teams were all business tonight, concentrating on taking lots of shots, and very few penalties. This would've been a hell of a game to watch for sure.
