Kaapo Kahkonen has been signed to a two-year entry level deal. The Finnish goaltending prospect is best known for scoring a couple of goals while playing in Finland. Maybe he can bring that nose for the net to the AHL, but frankly I’d settle for just solid play between the pipes. The Wild’s goaltending pipeline is not one chock full of guaranteed NHL talent, so the organization needs Kahkonen to deliver on his early promise.
