  • Wilderness Walk: Turns out Kaapo Kakko is rather good at ice hockey

    Guest

Let’s go over some news and notes:

    - Matt Dumba is healthy, and he’s ready to return to form in 2019-10.

    - Minnesota’s youngsters lost to the Rangers in overtime yesterday, and Kaapo Kakko’s ridiculous around-the-world goal was what sealed it. Something tells me he’s ready for the NHL, folks.

    Off the trail...

    - Apparently the Ducks and Hurricanes are looking to make a deal involving Justin Faulk? Interesting. [Anaheim Calling]

    - A young RFA has finally signed a contract! And no, it’s not Mitch Marner. Zach Werenski is locked up for three years with the Blue Jackets. [The Cannon]

    - Andrei Markov, who said he really wanted to return to the Canadiens, will definitely not return to the Canadiens. [NHL]

    - In the wake of Andrew Luck’s early retirement, could some NHL players look to follow his lead? [The Athletic]
