Awesome, we finally have some Wild news! In case you missed it, we resigned Justin Fontaine yesterday. Chuck talked Justin down "from crazy town" to a more realistic 2 year deal that averages 1 mil a season. For awhile Fontaine was demanding Toews money! I like the signing, goal scoring/ flexibility in the bottom 6 isn’t usually a bad thing.
...So now that Fontaine is locked up, Chuck should be able to vacation the rest of the summer?
Nope, get ready to Panic.
WE STILL HAVE TO SIGN NINO AND DARCY!!
-Nino
I’m hearing they are working on a 2-4 year deal for the Swiss Sniper! Awesome, lock this guy up! He may have the best wrist shot on the team! Nino looks to have real game breaking potential, when he puts it all together down the road.
-Darcy
Darcy, on the other hand, has a much more complicated situation. I’m sure by now everyone knows that the Minnesota Wild employ more goalies than the rest of the central combined. Josh Harding is a stud when healthy. Backstrom used to be a stud, but injuries/a new system/age seem to be effecting his game. And then you have Darcy, who’s play in net last year basically saved our season. At this point would Darcy agree to a 2 way deal? I wouldn’t think so, but what do I know.
It will definitely be interesting to see how all this shakes out.
My vote is to bring back BRYZ!!! We need more crazy on this team!
