Off the trail...
- Yikes. It’s looking like the Penguins could be without Sidney Crosby for a while. The star forward is expected to miss a minimum of six weeks after getting core muscle surgery. [PensBurgh]
- Scary moment at Flames practice yesterday when defenseman T.J. Brodie collapsed to the ice and began convulsing. Luckily, Brodie seems to be doing well in the hospital. [Matchsticks & Gasoline]

- Connor McDavid casually collected six points against the Avalanche last night. No big deal.
