  • Wilderness Walk: Give us ratification or give us death

    Guest

Let’s go over some news and notes:

    - Rookie defenseman Carson Soucy was a pretty solid addition to the Wild blue line during the regular season. [Hockey Wilderness]

    - A franchise center — that would be pretty nice, eh? Which superstar centers could potentially be playing for the Wild one day? [Gone Puck Wild]

    - Luke Kunin was back on the ice Tuesday, so that’s some good news.

    Off the trail...

    - Despite sports franchises like the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians being pressured into changing their nicknames, the Chicago Blackhawks have made it clear that they do not plan on making any changes to their name or logo. [Second City Hockey]

    - The NHL’s salary cap will not rise until the league’s hockey-related revenue returns to $4.8 billion, and that could be bad for unrestricted free agents looking to cash in this offseason. [The Hockey News]

    - IIHF chief René Fasel is pretty excited about the NHL returning to the Winter Olympics in 2022. [ESPN]

    - One step closer to ratification of the tentative CBA and Return to Play Plan.
