- Despite sports franchises like the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians being pressured into changing their nicknames, the Chicago Blackhawks have made it clear that they do not plan on making any changes to their name or logo. [Second City Hockey]
- The NHL’s salary cap will not rise until the league’s hockey-related revenue returns to $4.8 billion, and that could be bad for unrestricted free agents looking to cash in this offseason. [The Hockey News]
- IIHF chief René Fasel is pretty excited about the NHL returning to the Winter Olympics in 2022. [ESPN]
- One step closer to ratification of the tentative CBA and Return to Play Plan.
