Game 5 Recap: Sharks 5 - Avalanche 0 - Mile High Hockey - Five zip. Ouch. No really. Ouch. At least Adrian Dater gets to be the one to write about the first team to actually lose to the Sharks in the first round.
Senators beat Penguins 4-3 in triple OT thriller, force game six - Silver Seven
- Two things with this game. One here, one in a minute. Versus announcer at the beginning of the third OT asked if the locker room reporter said Spezza was eating pizza between periods. She had said just that, to which he replied, "What, is he 13?" So, to all Wilderness readers, if you are over the age of 13, no more pizza for you. Even if you are caught up in a marathon of a hockey game, giving everything you have for the past 100 minutes against some of the best hockey players to ever play the game, all the while trying to stave off elimination from the Stanley Cup playoffs, something you have only wanted to win since you were 2. Nope, you best not eat any pizza at that point, because the guy on Versus thinks that is funny. Next time? Order in French food, apparently.

- Second and third issue with the VS people. Second - they made it sound like a 3 OT game is not nearly as important to the teams as a 5 OT game. Right. Morons. Third, why did you have to cut away from the Pit / Sens game to tell us about how bad the Pirates lost? We don't care, and you made us miss the first goal in San Jose. Not cool. NBC giving you lessons on hockey coverage?
