The Wild play who tonight? The Avs? Again? You would think the NHL had some sort of cruel sense of humor to keep pitting these teams against each other, but it just one of those flukes of the schedule. When you play a team 6 times a year, you are bound to run into each other a few times in short time spans.
Tonight is also Andrew Brunettes 1000th game celebration. He'll get his silver stick, and likely something rather expensive from his teammates. I'll be... in class. That was a great decision. Lesson learned: IF you plan to go back for your Masters degree, make sure the first night of the program isn't the same night as a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Sigh.
I expect everyone at X tonight to blow the top off of that building. Make some noise, dammit.
In the meantime, we still have work to do. Head over to Facebook for the Question of the Day. When you are done with that, consider reading up on Defending the Blue Line's Skate for the Troops, and possibly making a pledge, or getting others to make a pledge.
Jose Theodore represents a net gain in Minnesota Wild playoff push - TwinCities.com - Theo has been good for this squad. My question? Will someone offer a mint for him at the deadline?
Mile High Hockey - We've gotten familiar with MHH over the past month. Stop in, say hi. Wear a helmet, and don't mention you know me.
Newspaper - I believe the beat writer is currently serving time in an Ecuadorian prison for dope muling. I could be wrong on that, though. It's just been so long since I read anything objective from Denver, I figured they must have lost him to something serious.
Hitting The Post: Tampa's "fixed" goaltending; West still interesting - See? The West is "interesting," not "terrible."
