In the midst of rearranging chairs on the deck of the Titanic, the Wild made some bold statements yesterday. They made it clear they are not simply going to go away, that they will score goals, and that this is a team and the players will behave as such.
Interesting to see such a drama filled day from a team that everyone considers to be boring, isn't it? Bouchard out indefinitely, Will there be a trade or not? Setoguchi scratched, has he been traded? Nope, just benched for being a bone head. These are generally story lines left for the Vikings writers, right?
Still, through it all, the Wild came out with a win. Which is really all that matters. Two points the Wild desperately needed to stave off a further drop in the standings. A big win at home to give them some positive vibes to carry back out onto the road.
Keep playing that violin. It keeps people calm.
