First off, let me apologize for two things. First and foremost, I returned home last night, only to have a winning streak end. Knowing that hockey is a superstitious game, I clearly should not have returned until the streak ended. My apologies on that.

Second, I am sorry for forcing you all to endure JS for four days worth of Walks. I can only imagine the pain and suffering you all had to go through, so I apologize for that, as well. Of course I am kidding here. JS did a superb job, even finding a gem from our friend Mr. Powers. Well done, sir. Huge thanks to JS for making sure you all got your daily constitutional.

As for me, the trip went well. We caught fish, we drank copious amounts of beer, we even witnessed Karaoke in a very small town setting. Enjoyable to say the least. If any of you have yet to try ice fishing, stop waiting. Best fun you can have and not get arrested. I am not pleased to have to work again, bu being home is nice. Missing three games was pretty brutal.

Don't forget about the Facebook Question of the Day today. No game, no practice, so it could be a long day.

Iron man Theodore ran out of gas | StarTribune.com - I still do not understand where the lack of faith in Borat comes from. You called him up, your default starter just played three games in a row... play him. Makes no sense to me. A fresh goalie could have made all the difference last night.

After triumphant eastern road trip, Wild suffer a home-ice hangover in 4-0 loss to Dallas Stars - TwinCities.com - Gamer from the Pioneer Press.

Lack of offense ends Minnesota Wild's winning streak at four - TwinCities.com - I love newspaper headlines. I know the writers don't write them, but come on. A lack of offense ends the streak. That's a classic title for a shutout. Lack of offense... thus... the shutout. Thanks headline writer.

Hitting The Post: Shutout Sunday - Goalies must watch scoreboards, see other goalies putting up zeros and then find motivation in that. Or maybe they are all use a lunar calendar. Who knows. They come in bunches, though. Next, we will see five guys score hatties again.

First Round Bust: Sunday Roundtable: Biggest Surprise From The Wild This Season - FRB takes the pulse of a handful of Wild fans. Good stuff.
