Championship Saturday for the Boys’ State High School Hockey tournament was a fantastic way to put a wrap on a really great week of games. Grand Rapids High School and the Hermantown High School took home the ultimate hardware when all the helmets, sticks, and gloves settled. the Xcel Energy Center was host to over 28k fans on Saturday to take in both Class A and Class AA championship games.
Anyways, I enjoyed all the hockey at all levels this weekend and hope The Wild can find a way to beat the Blackhawks at United Center so the fragile, terrified Minnesota sports fan can rest easy this week. Having to work and deal with people scared of Chicago and asking questions about players who’ve had pretty good seasons is not a good week at work.
Oh, and late last night, if you haven’t seen it yet, we got the All-Hockey Hair team video, and it was fabulous! So I lieu of music, I’ll let you enjoy.

Time to put up or shut up. "Stop acting like you fucking want it and go out there and fucking want it!" as Bruce Boudreau so eloquently put it.

NHL Insider: Fletcher weighs in on offside calls debate - StarTribune.com
I don't have a single problem with the way Offside has been called for 50-60 years. It's not the rule, it's the review process. Secondly, I fully understand why the GMs won't release the list of protected players for the expansion draft. It sucks as a fan and spectator, but I get it.
