Unfortunately the hockey world lost a great guy yesterday. Shawn Burr, long time Detroit Red Wing died yesterday after a tragic accident at his home over the weekend. Burr was loved throughout the hockey world and was always good for a laugh as those that had the privilege to play hockey with him would attest to. In 2010 Burr was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia and was involved in the Take a Bite out of Cancer campaign in association with the Michigan Dental Association and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Burr was just 47 years old, far too young to be taken from this world.
