Hey, again, Wilderness.
Apparently, getting married is a big deal, and you can just back out of whatever obligations you want when you get married, because Aaron is still out. What, does he think the world revolves around him?
His loss, because the Wild have just been exorcizing demons left and right lately. First Vancouver, then Detroit, and now Dallas. The Wild went out and won a game that they could have easily lost about four times. But thanks to heroics by the top three lines, and especially the relatively quiet Brodziak and Clutterbuck, who scored the Game-winning shorty, they came out on top at Dallas for the first time in over a decade. And they moved back into first place. How neat is that?!
So, that's a pretty good day. The Wild still have a tough road ahead of them, finishing out the week with Phoenix coming to town on Wednesday, and a back-to-back at Dallas and hosting Los Angeles. It's tough, but now the Wild have a bit of room to breathe, so long as they don't let up in a big way, and they're playing so well that you can't write them off for any given game right now.
Let's go to the Walk
Playoff Bubble Today
The Wild currently sit in third in the Conference, as they are A) Leading the division by virtue of a tiebreaker with Vancouver, and B) Their total of 40 points is the third most in the Western Conference. The final team in the playoff bubble is San Jose with 34 points.
Los Angeles (38 points) toppled Chicago in regulation 5-4.
Nashville (32) defeated Edmonton in regulation 3-2.
Detroit (39) defeated Phoenix (30) in regulation 3-2.
San Jose defeated Anaheim in regulation 5-3, though it should have counted as two losses for Anaheim for letting James Sheppard score.

For streaking Minnesota Wild, wins and goals just keep coming - TwinCities.com- I'll say! By my count, the Wild are now 15th in goals per game with 2.68. Not incredibly impressive, until you consider that they were dead last in goals back when everyone was panicing, and wanting to burn Yeo at the stake.
