  • Wild call up forward Michael Keranen for possible NHL debut Tonight

    Guest

In 52 games for the Iowa Wild this season, Keranen 2nd on the team in points with 32, including a team leading 23 assists. His line in Iowa with Tyler Groavac has easily been the most electric on the team and is close to the only thing going in Iowa these days.

Keranen was signed last summer after having a great season in the Finnish Elite League last year where he notched 52 points in 52 games and earned a couple notable accomplishments including the "Golden Helmet" for being the leagues top player as voted by the players. He also earned the Lasse Oksanen Trophy which is awarded to the leagues best player in the regular season.

It will be interesting to see what he can provide if he's given the chance to go tonight. For a little more on Keranen, Tiffany wrote a spot on him back in November you can find here and you may also be interested in what Joe had to say on him back when he signed with us over the summer.
