  • Who is Charlie Coyle?

We all know who Devin Setoguchi is, but who the hell is Charlile Coyle?

    Take the jump!

    So who is Charlie Coyle?

He's a skilled forward that has a good overall skill set. He can skate, can shoot and can stickhandle. Not only that, he has the size to complement all of that and bring it all together. He's a good 6-2 205 lbs and is versatile enough to play all forward positions.

One of the major concerns coming into the 2010 draft for Coyle was his experience playing against tougher competition. He played in EJHL which is a very unknown league but in his freshman year with the Boston University Terriers, he has produced nicely.

He played for Team USA-20 and won a gold medal. Not only that, he was named U20 WJC Top 3 Player on Team.

Keep going? He was named NCAA (Hockey East) Rookie of the Year and NCAA (Hockey East) All-Rookie Team

Coyle is just a good all-round forward who has all the tools to become a very effective player in the NHL. He has NHL size, good speed, good two-way game and great work ethic. We will have a great time watching him develop!
