I want to give a special shout out to Wild defenseman Sean Hill for last nights Wild Flyers game. Despite a tough loss and -3 stat, Hill showed Wild hockey fans why Jacques Lemaire was so anxious to have him back. Hill spent the night blasting people, finishing checks and brought a feisty attitude to the ice that I haven’t seen in awhile.
Hill proved to this MN Wild Freak that he is a valuable cog in the Minnesota Wild system when he hit Briere in the second. Briere retaliated with a slash to the back of Hills’ leg so Hill turned around and looked like he was going to rip Brieres’ head off, but then showed great restraint and continued on the play. The "face" of the Minnesota Wild seems to be changing from hockey finesse to hockey bruteness (I know that’s not a word, but it rhymes with finesse and it gets my point across), let’s just hope everyone can stay healthy.
