  • Role Playing: You're Mike Yeo

    Guest

Earlier today, you went through the exercise of armchair GM'ing. Now that you've had your fun being the boss, now you have been moved to middle management. You no longer control your own destiny. You are given a roster, and you have to make it work. You can't worry about what Chuck Fletcher is doing, or not doing. You don't get to decide if Chris Simon is on his way back to the NHL or not.

No, now you have a 23 man roster to work with. Injuries, egos, attitudes, abilities, limitations, systems, lines, scratches... all on your shoulders. You have been given a team, and it looks exactly like the current roster you had yesterday. Assume for a moment the GM is not going to bail you out with a trade. You're on your own with the guys you have.

You have a room with zero confidence in themselves. 23 guys who have given up on your system and seemingly on each other. You have a game tomorrow night against the top team in the West, and one that has surged since *gulp* their head coach was sent packing and replaced with a veteran coach who takes nothing less than best from his players.

Now what do you do? Who sits? Who plays? Who plays where? With who? Why? Does the system change?

Hurry up and make the decisions. We have Jacques Lemaire on line one.
