  • Preseason Gamethread: Wild at Avalanche (8:00 p.m.)

    Guest

The Minnesota Wild heard our cries and have answered our prayers. Thursday’s preseason game against the Colorado Avalanche will be broadcasted.

Instead of hoping for some descriptive radio, as we all did during the first preseason match against the St. Louis Blues, this game will be on the Wild’s YouTube page for all of us to enjoy it. And what a game it is set out to be.

Even without Kirill Kaprizov, the Wild’s lineup is going to be electric at the top. Adam Beckman can shoot some absolute unreal shots and he’ll get that opportunity on the top line with Joel Eriksson Ek as his center and Mats Zuccarello on the other side. And even one step down, blossoming young stud Matt Boldy will get a massive NHL-level chance with new signing Frederick Gaudreau at center and Kevin Fiala on the other side. Just such a good sight to see.

On the blue line, we’ll see a lot of new faces try to compete against the Avs’ top forwards. Jon Merrill and Dmitry Kulikov will get tested and the rookie Calen Addison should get a prominent offensive role.

Here’s the rest of the full rosters:

So join us down here in the comment section as we try to ease our expectations.
