Minnesota Wild defenseman Petteri Nummelin was out of the lineup for a month starting on November 21. He was originally out because of an injury, but as it healed, he became a game time scratch more frequently. Nummelin is now back in the lineup regularly, and it's because he is becoming more active in the offense. In the first month of the season, he had zero goals and zero assists but the month off gave him time to think about his offense, and that is what has gotten him back into the favor of Jacques Lemaire. Petteri Nummelin is helping out Minnesota Wild hockey by being better with his puck control and actually making things happen rather than sitting back on defense. Way to go Nummey!
