  • NHL Players Charity Game Benefiting Defending the Blue Line

    Hey Wilderness, we're a bit behind on this, mostly because I'm the guy who announces things like this for DTBL and it takes me awhile to remember that it is OK to then post about it here.

    Defending the Blue Line is hosting a NHL Players Game on Wednesday, June 20th at Ridder Arena. Even tdetails are below, but I highly recommend you come on out to the event. $20 for a ticket, and you get autographs, some pretty solid door prizes, and a hockey game featuring players you will never see together all in one place.

    SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Defending the Blue Line (DTBL) is proud to announce that the organization will host an NHL Players Charity Game and Autograph Session presented by Gander Mountain on Wednesday, June 20 at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota Campus. Players currently scheduled to participate include Zach Parise (

    and USA Hockey star Gigi Marvin. Other NHL players participating in the game will be announced on

    and via social media each week leading up to the game.

    Groups of 20 or more will receive a discounted ticket price of $15 each. In addition, 14-seat Luxury Suites are available for $500. Player game worn jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off after the game and all fans will be entered into a raffle for Minnesota Wild Camo Sweaters, Wild game tickets and other fabulous prizes.
    Schedule of events:
    5:30-6:20 p.m. Autograph session with players (free with paid admission to event)
    6:45-6:55 p.m. Pre-game warm-ups
    6:55-7:00 p.m. National Anthem and Ceremonial puck drop
    7:00-8:00 p.m. NHL Players Charity Game to Benefit DTBL at Ridder Arena
    Defending The Blue Line is a 501©(3) non-profit organization created by a group of National Guard soldiers in Minnesota. The charity assists families of all branches of the military with costs associated with hockey. They provide financial assistance for registration fees, free equipment, summer hockey camps, and send many deserving families down to Xcel Energy Center for a night of fun at a Minnesota Wild game, as well as other NHL venues.
