  • NHL Awards 2012: Selecting the Calder Trophy Winner

    Guest

There are few trophies in the NHL that hold as much sway as the Calder. Well, the Stanley Cup seems to be pretty special, but still. The Calder is special. It takes a massive performance from a kid coming into a man's league. The best part of the award? It almost never goes to the guy that everyone thinks will win it at the beginning of the year.

Your turn. Who wins the Calder?

    Nathan

    Bruce

    Winner: Gabriel Landeskog

    Bryan

    Winner: Adam Henrique

Nominees: Gabriel Landeskog & Matt Read

Rationale: Henrique has had an outstanding season. And he doesn't play for the Oilers. Enough said.

    JS

    Winner: Gabriel Landeskog

Rationale: Good stats, physical, two-way skill. Great player
